Starter pack
Starting an association or company
A private road or estate needs an active residents' association
or management company to look after the road, protect the interests
of residents and guard against costly and damaging legal
disputes.
If your road doesn't have one, don't panic! We can help.
Just send for our Starter Pack. You'll receive:
- A copy of Private Roads: The Legal Framework (4th ed.)
This is the definitive guide to the law, written for residents
associations, management companies and others concerned with
private roads. Its approach is clear and practical and it provides
a comprehensive explanation of the issues affecting private roads
and estates.
- A step-by-step guide to what you need to do and why.
- Helpful precedents, on CD, including model rules for an
association, and memorandum and articles of association for a
company, and model letters.
Once you've formed a residents' association or company you can
upgrade to membership of PRS: the cost of the Starter Pack can be
deducted from your first year's membership fee. Joining PRS will
help you to look after your road in the longer term, and to save
money.
To order our Starter Pack, please send a cheque for £55, payable
to Private Roads Services Ltd, to:

class is fine). This doesn't affect your other legal rights. Please
note that our Starter Pack is sold subject to our Terms and
Conditions.

use only in one specified private road or private estate. For this
reason we don't sell copies to firms of solicitors, estate agents
or surveyors, developers or other organisations with a wider need.
When you place your order, please let us know the name and postcode
of the road in question and how many properties there are in the
road.
